QUIZ WINNERS -- GREGORY PECK MOVIES -- BRATS

RED SOX FAN OF THE WEEK
Kristeen Eliason AKA Teen Teen AKA Margo
She is seen here at Fenway Park

Kristeen is Voo's daughter and currently lives in Vermont.
She is a housewife and mother, enjoys shopping, and watching The Price in Right every day on television.

QUIZ WINNERS, QUIZ WINNERS, QUIZ WINNERS
Thanks to everyone who responded to the first bimonthly, bisexual, Voodoo Quiz. I intended to give only the winner a meatloaf dinner as my guest at SnoCap Lanes, however, I am so appreciative of all of you who participated that everyone who entered the contest will receive the various versions of the meatloaf
dinner.

I was bribed by one of my sisters to ensure that she obtained a higher score than her sister.
I was threatened by one of my daughters to guarantee she received a higher score than her sister. Other forms of cheating, unsportsman like conduct and name calling sullied the essence of the quiz.
I have found that honesty is the best policy. A man's word is his bond. There will be no fixed quizes under the banner of "VOO".
( If you are intersted in the correct answers to the Quiz, please send a self addressed envelop and $5.00 to Voo)

TEN GOOD GREGORY PECK MOVIES

Twelve O'Clock High 1947
Story of US bomber pilots during WWII reaching the mental breaking point while flying missions over Germany.

THE YEARLING 1946
Rural family adopts a yearling fawn with disastrous results leading to a deep understanding of life's lessons.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD 1962
Story of a southern attorney defending a black man

THE SNOWS OF KILIMANJARO 1952
Classic Hemingway short story brought to the screen --- featuring the gorgeous Ava Gardner and Susan Hayward

MOBY DICK 1956
Peck as the mentally deranged Capt. Quig is superb, but the real star of the show was the white whale. I saw this movie at the old Manti Theatre with Karl Tucker and Boyd Henrie.

THE MAN IN THE GRAY FLANNEL SUIT. 1956
Peck is a returned vet from WWII trying to hold the various aspects of his life together as he recovers from war experiences.

CAPE FEAR 1962
Ex con terrorizes the prosecuting attorney and his family --- Robert Mitchum is really good as a really bad pyscho

THE BRAVADOS 1958
The story of misguided revenge in the old west --- featuring the beautiful Joan Collins and very evil Stephen Boyd

DUEL IN THE SUN 1946
This is an epic western with Peck as the bad brother, Joseph Cotten as the good brother and a breath taking Jennifer Jones as the "hottie" who must make a choice.

THE BIG COUNTRY 1958
Classic western with great cast, cinematography and music
Also one of Barb's favorites
Voo saw this at the old Manti Theatre with Jim Petersen
Burl Ives won an Oscar
Amazing fist fight between Peck and Charlton Heston

I guess I will except third place...the bonus bowling game helped soften the blow. The pain wasn't so much in taking third place, but in the fact that Oil Can beat me! Now that hurts!
I do feel honored to be quoted as "Quote of the Day." Only the very intelligent and observant receive such an honor.
I feel like I am going to have to start a new features on my blog. Maybe something like..."Dumb _ _ _ of the Day." You would be my first feature for when you SHOT YOUR OWN REAR VIEW MIRROR off of your truck -- standing right next to it! Ha!
Oh, you would be my second feature as well. Remember when you purposely ran over a delineator post being cool only to pop your tire and leave you stranded on the mountain! Ha!

It has been a VERY slow week without new entries on the blog Voo! Thank the Gods my Valentine's Day will be marvelous due to last night's entry. I am so glad I didn't even bother with the quiz as I would have gotten 7th place and would have had to cook my own meal. Thank you for featuring my beautiful daughters who are the smartest, sweetest, most wonderful women in the family. You're just jealous.
xox,
Georgia

this will be tricky, as i have one good hand ,my left one, which hasn't been trained to do anything, my right thumb, and thumbs are only good for hitch-hiking...plus my right hand has the biggest ace bandage on it you have ever seen. nothing fits over it! all of this will be my lot in life for six, count them, six wweeks.
that my friends, is the health and fitness report from orem, where things are constantly happening! I DIDN'T DO BETTER ON THE TEST BECAUSE I WAS STILL SEDATED FROM MY SURGERY!but in the spirit of good sportsman ship, i congratulate the winners. am just happy that you-know-who didn't beat me. this is very tiring.. voo, i need to be entertained, and you seem to be my only source of quality entertainment..keep it up!
love you, and can only hope that you and barb have a more exicting valentine's day than we are having.
joanne-exactly when will KRISTEEN BE HERE
